CRA-Logoset-02We’ve won 2 Bronze Awards at the inaugural Community Radio Awards! It was announced last month that we’d been nominated for 2 Community Radio Awards – we’re very excited! We’re shortlisted in 2 categories – Community Development Project of the Year – for shows highlighting homelessness and recovery in Wrexham & Live Event of the Year – for our Focus Wales Takeover.

In the ceremony, which took place on Saturday 10th September at Birmingham City University, it was revealed that we had been awarded Bronze in both categories. We’re absolutely thrilled and its a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.

The Community Radio Awards have been setup to celebrate community radio and all the hard work and time that the volunteers involved in community radio put into their stations, shows and communities.

Awards chair Martin Steers said: “I am pleased to be able to recognise and showcase the work of community radio, and hope every recipient goes back to their station and area and shouts about the exceptional output, commitment and service in the community radio sector, from its volunteers and staff.”
