A popular fundraising event is back and it’s set to be more colourful and bubbly than ever before.

The Nightingale House Hospice Rainbow Dash Bubble Bash will be returning to Bangor on Dee Racecourse on Sunday September 10th in a blaze of colour – and this time, extra foam.

The annual family-fun event, sponsored by Moneypenny, typically sees more than 1,000 people of all ages tackle the four kilometre dash around the racecourse while getting splattered in multi-coloured paint. Last year for the first time a bubble pit was introduced and it proved so popular, this time there will be double the bubbles.

Hospice Fundraiser Sam Eastwood said: “It really is the most colourful race around and great fun. Everyone taking part starts out in a plain white t-shirt and leaves in a blaze of rainbow colours with a great big smile on their face and lots of happy memories.

“The Rainbow Dash Bubble Bash is not only a great family day out but also a perfect opportunity to have a fun day out with friends or for team-building with colleagues. It’s really spectacular and quite a sight seeing so many multi-coloured, bubbly people all together!”

Moneypenny’s Managing Director Joanna Swash says the company is delighted to be sponsoring the event again. She said: “We really look forward to the Rainbow Dash. It’s a great day out, a brilliant fundraiser and what better way to spend a Sunday than getting covered in multi-coloured paint and foam! We get involved with lots of different community and charity activities through the year, but this one is always one of our highlights. It’s the perfect opportunity to get family and friends involved and there’s always a lovely atmosphere. ”

The event is open to anyone over the age of five. Entry for adults is £18, children (age 5 to 16), £9 or a family ticket for two adults and two children is £45. The admission cost includes an event t-shirt, sunglasses and a choice of reward in the shape of either a bacon sandwich or a medal at the finishing line.

Additional sponsorship opportunities are available to man a paint or foam station.

Registration starts from 9am with the event beginning at 11am.
