AVOW, TCC and Wrexham Senedd yr Ifanc will be hosting an event for Parliament Week on Thursday 16th November at Catrin Finch Centre, Mold Road, Wrexham. Those attending can take part in ‘Wxm QT’ – a Question Time type session with local Members of Parliament, Ian Lucas and Susan Elan Jones on the panel – with discussions on Brexit and what Brexit means for democracy in Wales. Participants are also welcome to submit their own questions for the event when they sign-up through Eventbrite.

The event will be looking at how community issues make their way to Parliament, addressing issues revolving around Wales, Wrexham’s representation in Westminster and if politicians understand and appreciate what is important to people in Wales. Alongside local MP’s, representation from the Youth Parliament and the Welsh Assembly, it’s likely to be a lively but informative event.

UK Parliament Week is an annual, national festival that aims to engage people with Parliament and empower them to get involved.

‘Politicians in Westminster don’t care about Wales or have a clue about what’s important here?’ is a common rhetoric, so we ask; is it true? And how can we make sure the people who are making decisions about our lives know, and act on, what’s important to us?

The evening will begin with a free buffet from 5:15pm, with the main event starting at 6pm; the evening will finish at 8pm.
