About the show

First airing in early 2009, Metalheadz is the first dedicated heavy metal show to air on Calon FM, a community radio station based out of Glyndwr University Wrexham, Wales.

As well as playing the best tracks from a wide range of metal bands, Metalheadz also brings you great interviews each week! Past interviews include Testament, Sepultura, Cannibal Corpse, Hammerfall and many others. And as if that wasn’t enough, in the coming weeks we’ll be airing interviews from Repulsion, Desecration and Alestorm amongst others, with many great new interviews to follow after this years Download Festival!
