About the show

Beryl Partridge presents “Passion for Poetry” every Wednesday between 2-3. As well as bringing you a broad range of classical poetry Beryl also includes her own pieces for the show. Each week you can hear an eclectic mix of music to complement the poetry, everything from classical to jazz to modern acoustic favourites. About Beryl

Beryl, who lives in Cefn Mawr, with her husband Tony, and five dogs, recently graduated from Glyndwr University, and was not willing to ‘retire’ gracefully.

‘I missed the buzz of student life, and I missed the people’ she tells us. ‘I’ve always loved poetry, and to be able to share my passion for it with listeners is so exciting – I hope that my enthusiasm is infectious, and my audience will love the gentle ambience of the programme – together with the music that Katherine chooses, it is an hour of pure indulgence.’ So, listen to Beryl’s ‘Passion for Poetry’ – and enjoy.
